Firstly, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided gets a debut trailer. As reported by Eurogamer on Wednesday, Deus Ex, a cyberpunk-themed role-playing-game featuring main character Adam Jensen, a security officer who has been bio-technically enhanced, is getting a sequel.
We'll being seeing more of protagonist Adam Jensen in the future... |
Deus Ex is a great, open world game that offers a huge amount of freedom to the player. As a person who has played Deus Ex, I'd say that I found Human Revolution difficult at some stages, particularly with one of the first bosses. However, I liked the cyberpunk feel of the game and I also liked how heavily the game relied on stealth ad tactics to complete each level.
Looking at the trailer, it looks like the game will be covering the idea of terrorism in these new cyberpunk times. Nearer the end of the trailer, you see a bomb go off, which is followed by a fight between the main protagonist Adam, and a new antagonist. The trailer also gives the impression that the game will again rely heavily on action and stealth, which is good to see as a fan of stealth in video games.
The trailer doesn't give too much away in terms of narrative, but it does however give us an insight as to what to expect from the game itself. I will be exciting to see what else is released in terms of teasers and trailers in the near future.
Here's the announcement trailer if you haven't already seen it:

Charlie Intel, a news website based solely around the Call of Duty franchise, found in the source code for the official Call of Duty website, a description for the game. The description reads:
"Call of Duty®: Black Ops is the first title for next-gen hardware in the critically acclaimed Black Ops series. Developed by Treyarch, the award-winning creator of the two most-played games in Call of Duty® history. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldiers emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare. With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, providing fans with the deepest ad most Call of Duty ever".
Not much also has been said about the game. The 'official' announcement of the game will take place on the 26th April.

Finally, the popular Indie game Five Nights At Freddy's is being turned into a movie. As reported by Pocket Gamer, Warner Bros. has obtained the rights to create and distribute a movie based on creator Scott Cawthon's horror game Five Nights At Freddy's.
Could Five Nights At Freddy's succeed as a movie, or should it just stick to being a game? |
Cawthon feels that "the story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to".
Nothing major has yet happened and the film is only being put out to writers, so it could be a couple of years at the least until we see a potential film in cinemas.
What do you think of my picks for this weeks news? Will Deus Ex and Black Ops 3 deliver?
Will Five Nights At Freddy's succeed as a movie?
